Veritas Visioneering

Why Veritas Visioneering?

“The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.”

Visioneering Principle 1
.
The TRUTH is incontrovertible; malice may attack it and ignorance deride it, but in the end, there it is. Visioneer, Sir Winston Churchill

Veritas, Latin for “Truth”, is the central principle for all elements of Visioneering. We insist on a commitment to interactions, discussions and decisions that are grounded in both accuracy and authenticity. It is the failure to get clear on the facts and honest about what we really think and feel that will leave us stranded in our current state or lead us to an even less desirable outcome.

It is exceedingly difficult to come to good decisions with bad information and even more so to go in the wrong direction and end up at the right destination.

In the spirit of Truth we also set very clear expectations for our client and ourselves. This includes the expectation that the Truth can often seem elusive. Establishing what is "true" and "meant to be" is rarely accomplished without a willingness to invest the time to thoroughly explore our assumptions and beliefs. We must also expect that through that process we will find ourselves profoundly wrong at least as often we are right. Simply stated, "Truth" comes to the persistent and humble. You will find we are dedicated to modeling both.

Visioneering Principle 2

Unlike success, greatness is an opportunity, not an ambition.

Conventional wisdom is peppered with success mantras. "You can do anything you put your mind to." "The world is yours for the taking." "When you grow up you can be anything you want to be." When we adopt these statements as if they are truths for guiding our steps and choices in life, most of us ultimately sacrifice our opportunity for greatness in order to pursue success. Like most of the "wisdom" of our day, these mantras lack a single but significant element that could lead us to the outcomes we desire when we put our feet to the path. Back to Principle 1, Truth. The truth is that we cannot be anything we want to be, but we certainly can be all we were meant to be. The most amazing part of that truth is that we are all meant for greatness if we will embrace the opportunity.

Instead we find ourselves striving but not thriving. We give it our all and still come up short. The success we do experience we struggle to enjoy. Our enthusiasm wanes. We begin to believe that "this is just the way it is" and the hope of change gets lost in the confusion and frustration. For those who know It's Time, Visioneering is a work of both restoration and promise. A new opportunity for greatness...for your team, your business, for your marketplace, for your life.
